AUBURN – Today, Coach Tuberville penned an op-ed in Yellowhammer News about how he will work with President Trump to make Alabama’s Economy Great Again when he is elected Governor of Alabama.

“When President Trump first announced his campaign in 2015, I remember telling my sons, Tucker and Troy, that he was exactly the leader our country needed.

Unlike most politicians, he’d actually had a real job building and running a successful company. For decades, Donald Trump had been adored by Hollywood, musicians, elites, and the media. That all changed the day he came down the golden escalator and announced he was running for President as an outsider.

President Trump’s willingness to leave his comfortable lifestyle and fight for the American people is what inspired me to run for the U.S. Senate six years ago. Like President Trump, I had been fortunate to have a successful career in coaching and wasn’t looking for a job—but I love our country and wanted to give back. And ever since coming to D.C. in January 2021, that’s exactly what I’ve tried to do.

From standing up to the woke Democrats’ attacks on gender to fighting to keep your taxpayer dollars from funding the Biden administration’s illegal and immoral abortion policy, I stood for Alabama’s conservative values and fought against the Swamp every step of the way.

Now, I’m ready to bring this same fight home to Alabama. I’ve always been a team-builder and a problem solver. Most of all, I love to win. With President Trump back in office and delivering wins left and right, I’m feeling optimistic about the future of our country.

Importantly, he is sending power back to the states. Alabama is surrounded by states with strong economies—and as Governor, it will be my job to make sure Alabama is ready to compete. I will work around the clock to lower costs, grow our economy, and attract as many jobs as possible to the state of Alabama.

You don’t have to drive far in Alabama to see how unfair trade deals made by previous administrations have shuttered many of Alabama’s industrial sites and ruined our small towns. Thankfully, President Trump is bringing manufacturing back to America. In just a few months, we’ve already seen the positive impacts of his tariffs, with more than $500 million in new investments and jobs coming to Alabama. One company in Dothan told me that President Trump’s tariffs saved them from having to cut 300 jobs.”
